Billy has been doing music ‘forever’!  Well that’s what it feels like when looking back at his varied career path in music.  Although an orchestral musician at heart, Billy has played in brass bands, first in Scotland, where he was born and now here in New Zealand he continues to dabble in the brass band movement.  Having spent some years in military bands in South Africa, he was then appointed Principal Tuba in one of the top orchestras.  Sadly this job had an abrupt end with the change of government in South Africa in the year 2000 and Billy found a new skill in sales in the golf industry, while still being fortunate enough to be in constant demand as an ad hoc musician, until the family emigrating to New Zealand in 2008.  So, putting the sales skills and his passion for music together made sense and Molto Music Ltd happened in Oct 2008.      

Karen currently tutors flute at Saint Kentigern College in Auckland, and piano from home, while also being self employed as a Reflexology Practitioner.  Her music studies began on the good old recorder at the age of 7.  After completing high school at the Pretoria School of Art, Ballet and Music in South Africa, she completed a B Mus degree and attained a Licentiate from Trinity College London.  She spent some years in a military band in South Africa and then moved on to fulfill her childhood dream of becoming a teacher.  She is very grateful to have had a busy ad hoc career on the flute, alongside being a full time Primary School teacher.  Karen was in her 16th year of teaching when the family immigrated to New Zealand.   Her new found hobby is building websites, with this being the 4th one she has completed.
