A New Tune a Day for Clarinet Book 1 (with CD)
Since its appearance in the early 1930s, C. Paul Herfurth’s original A Tune a Day series has become the most popular instrumental teaching method of all time.
The teacher will find that the new books have been meticulously rewritten by experienced teachers: instrumental techniques and practices have been updated and the musical content has been completely overhauled.
The student will find clearly-presented, uncluttered material, with familiar tunes and a gentle introduction to the theoretical aspects of music. The books are now accompanied by audio CDs of examples and backing tracks to help the student develop a sense of rhythm, intonation and performance at an early age.
As in the original book, tests are given following every five lessons.
Music-making is a lifelong pleasure and at its heart is a solid understanding of the principles of sound production and music theory. These books are designed to accompany the student on these crucial first steps.
