Awarded Jazz Album of the Year 1999, Subspace is saxophonist Jason Jones' solo debut CD, presenting 7 uniquely written originals incorporating world music sounds.

As a music graduate from Auckland University with jazz studies in the USA, Jason is well equipped to present intelligent compositions. On Subspace he performs masterfully with a beautifully balanced group including Australian drummer Nick McBride, acoustic & electric bass Matt Greubner, pianists Kevin Field & Aron Ottignon with appearances by Kim Paterson (flugelhorn) and African percussionist Kojo Owusu (djembe).
