Known primarily for his film scores, John Williams has also written many works for orchestra. This version is for Tuba and Piano Reduction.
This concerto was written for Chester Schmitz of the Boston Symphony Orchestra written for the 100th anniversary of the Boston Pops. It has very recently been recorded by Nowegian tuba 'Ace' Oystein Baadsvik. It is very difficult and tests all extremes of both intrument and player.
