Concerto for Euphonium was commissioned for Bob Childs and the Black Dyke Band by Doyen Recordings Ltd. and first performed by them at The Royal Northern College of Music's Festval of Brass in Feb. 2000. The concertos three movements are in a tuneful, melodic style and bravura passages are mixed with others designed to exploit the singing qualities of the instrument.

There is a solo part in bass clef and treble clef.
