An original Euphonium concerto written for Bob Childs by Elgar Howarth
William Saroyan, an American-Armenian writer who was very in vogue in the 1940's & 50's. His novels and short stories, often focusing on the life of a new generation of immigrants in the USA, made a great impression on Elgar Howarth as a teenager. This 'Concerto' is like a book of short stories in music. Eight stories with separate titles. As you would imagine, from the pen of Elgar Howarth, this is quite a challenging piece.
There is a part for both the bass clef and treble clef reader in this publication.
